On a serious note, in the last few years I feel as though England's experimentation with their batting lineup in Tests has seeped into every other format and ruined any continuity they had immediately after CWC19.

They had decent red-ball batting but poor white-ball batting in WC15 and the few years after, then their white-ball cricket got a lot better, now they seem to be all over the shop in both.

Then again T20s are hard to predict by nature and probably not a good barometer for long-term success.
