I just stumbled upon this clip on Twitter and I can only feel sadness and pain on behalf of Arshdeep.

Rohit just shrugs him off when he is about to make a suggestion for the field. This happened during the Sri Lanka game.

How pathetic is that.

I bet he wouldn't treat Pandya, Bumrah, and others like that but since its Arshdeep its ok for him to treat him like that.

Pathetic captain, pathetic player.

@cricketrulez @Austin 3:!6 I believe you guys saw this too and agree.

Not the way to treat a young player in such a pressure situation especially when he's been subjected to disgusting hate by Indians online.

It's actually demeaning when you think how Bhuvi and Pandya who have cost India the games against Pakistan and SL have got away with it uet Arshdeep faces the brunt of it.

I thought he was brilliant in the last 2 overs both games, targeting yorkers and bowling over 140KPH.

If anything, he should be encouraged.

He is legit pathetic. He’s letting off the seniors to blame the youngsters who had nothing to defend. Gonna have a soft spot for Arshdeep after how well he bowled and took the blame

Wtf.

Makes you appreciate Babar even more, especially after we lost the semi final, the way he backed each player and made it clear they're all responsible and not just one person.

Not once have I seen Babar reprimand someone in that way, the only incident that comes to mind was in an England tour when Rauf was arguing with Babar disrespectfully, but now we see how much love they all have for each other. Rauf got smacked in the first game v India but Babar backed him in the death in the second game and Rauf produced a gem of an over

Yeah I was seething when Rauf did that lol. Babar handled it brilliantly in hindsight.

Must admit Babar and @Fireworks11 were correct lol.

No way he said that 😭

Forget Babar, even Kohli was a much better leader than this guy. What a massive downgrade for them.

man....

i used to think Kohli was a bad captain, Sharma is literally the worst and I can see why no one wanted him to be captain in the first place.

pathetic person.

Yeah I got jazbati for Babar in that moment as well, even as a Lahore fan who always backed Rauf I wanted to drop him just for that. In hindsight Babar knew best and I’m sure they had their own talks. Rauf is a passionate character and that’s part of his charm. Loved the scenes of him hugging Shaheen in tears when we qualified for the final this year

He's just straight up disrespectful man.

Wonder if he'll ever try this with Kohli lol.
Kohli might revert to his old school sledging self lol.
Tbh I was gonna say the Indian public would despise him, but the way the consensus has turned against Kohli there is insane. You’d think he would be on a pedestal like Tendulkar with how much he’s done for India, but he gets so much hate online from some Indians.
Personally if Babar ever gets to heights like Kohli has (iA he goes beyond even) I would never disrespect him lol. Even at this stage Babar would have to have a hell of a disasterclass to cause me to go against him

C'mon he is way too young for that, things like these can potentially shatter his self confidence for years to come

You never do that to a young, up and coming cricketer

It just breaks my heart 😞
:azam2

FYI to babar simpers on this - deep down even you know that Riz is better

But whatever...

It's not about simping man but why fix something that isn't broken?

Babar is clearly well-liked and respected as a leader across the board. He leads the team well and everyone loves him. All of this is evident by the unity and bonhomie between this team, which is unlike anything we've ever seen in a Pakistani team. Babar deserves credit for creating the kind of environment in the dressing room which made this possible.

As far as tactical side of things is concerned, I'm 100% certain Rizzy is very much involved in every tactical decision they make. Babar has zero ego issues, he's not the kind of captain who wouldn't listen to his VC.

Babar “simps” appreciate a captain who’s led his side to a semi final and final in his first two outings and created a brilliant dressing room environment, and invested in a group of match winners

Nothing disrespectul about this lol.

You guys are baby puppos if you think an incident like this can shatter someone's confidence.

The boss ultimately has the final say. If you give him crap ideas he can turn his back.

Yaar, look at Arshdeeps face, kid looks like he's about to brick it especially when you factor in the vile hate he's recieved/recieving online.

In that time, he'll naturally be looking to his captain and seniors for support and instead, we see this stupidity.

The way Imran, Wasim etc spoke to players built character and steel.

I don't see too much wrong with Sharma here.

If Wasim went to IK in a high pressure game, Pak v Ind, and was asking for advice i doubt IK would walk off mid sentence
