PSL Standout Emerging Player Thread (PSL 10)

This thread is about PSL
Sufyan looks to be the real deal

Been saying but he's not really an emerging talent anymore. 25 years old already, has been around the circuit since start of 2023 and done well recently at intl level too.

Wrist spinners are anyway a rarity in Pakistan atp esp left-arm, but let's see if he can remain consistent once oppositions come better prepared for him after doing their homework on him.

The exact issue with Pakistan fans rofl

A young player comes into PSL as emerging and plays 2 games where he doesn’t look great and already labelled a tulla. Give him a fair run ffs
He’s from PDP. I think he’s pressing. I saw highlights of his batting in the nets and he was playing much better shots.

For me, I don't mind tullas in T20 format at all. I mean... we are in bad need of few of them in the national team atp. But issue with Naeem in these 2 games has been his very obvious nervousness.

Mental strength is non-negotiable for Pak team anymore tbh after seeing how some of the senior duds fold in world cups against India, Australia and even minnows when put under pressure.

So if a kid is not holding it together at home in a local event, he's definitely struggling doing it on the world stage in future.

Mental toughness and physical fitness, make these the first 2 pre-requisites before moving on to any other metrics for these young guys.

I would agree if it wasn’t a huge stage and only his first two chances. PDP players often get picked and just sit on the bench let alone open against bowlers like Naseem.

Give him his run and see if he settles in. Not everyone will take pressure like Mo Haris in 2022
