PAK Which players should be axed after T20 World Cup 2024?

I would say the following should never wear Pakistani Jersey again after this WC.

Chacha the Bhudda
Shadab the full toss Maestro
Imad the Charsi
Azam the rusty Bazooka
Amir the fixer
Usman the lallu
Haris Rauf the Kohta


Out of the squad of this WC. I will keep for T20s

Naseem
Shaheen
Fakhar
Abrar
Abbas
Saim

Babar & Rizwan should stick with ODIs & Tests.

If they stick with the T20 team even after this epic bezaati too then it would be only & only for one reason, to sell themselves to the franchise leagues. If they have an iota of self respect they will only play ODIs & Tests.

Babar & Rizwan must focus on the longer formats from hereon. [But it is never realistic in Pakistan cricket because of the commercial aspects attached with the shortest format, Babar & Rizwan will lose a lot of income avenues by giving up on international T20s.'

Let the young ones like Abdullah, M Haris, Saim, Irfan Niazi, Abrar establish themselves in this team. Start a gradual process and let them evolve in the right direction towards modern day cricket.

Yes the next T20 WC is after 2 years. And they should let this new core grow during this time. There are a lot of deserving youngsters like Mehran, Kamran Ghulam, the ones you mentioned.
 
Totally agreed, need Abdullah and Niazi in the side too. Give all these young guys to Kirsten for the next two years and see what he can do.

Gotta back your young players, they will suck too but at least there's a chance they might improve with time and experience. Sticking with 40 year olds makes no sense at this point.
 
Not going to happen. Like @Munna said, Babar and Rizwan dropping T20Is means they play a max of 10 games a year because we’re T20 obsessed. If the PCB had an ounce of planning in their heads then it would be viable.

Remember we went into a World Cup in Asian conditions with a “golden generation” having barely played any ODIs.
 
Pak lacks aggressive players in the team, I would say Babar should rethink whether he is suited to t20 cricket as i can name far better players in his place. The goal is to win games for the team not just focus on your own records.

Impossible. T20 format is where Rizwan only done something for himself. Babar has been doing the same statpadding 50s and 100s

So they are going nowhere unfortunately unless the whole board is changed

So this confirms Babar and Shaheen aren't talking and there's a major rift within the team.

That's exactly why I was against removing Shaheen from captaincy so quickly. First it was Zaka Ashraf who made the blunder of appointing him, then Naqvi by removing him after only one series.

This is how you destroy teams.

Only a clown makes someone captain again who was removed 3 months ago.

Say what you all want, Babar should never have taken the captaincy. In this case, Babar stabbed Shaheen in the back. He had no long term vision and did what typical Patwaris do.
 
I am honestly unsure tbh about who should play and who shouldn't. Just seems like a never ending up hill climb and wider failing of society which is now reflecting in sports.

You can’t judge a international performer with PSL performances,take starc he had an extremely bad IPL
 
Babar - retire from T20i
Rizwan - retire from T20i
Ifti - retire from all cricket
Imad - retire from all cricket
Shadab - stick to ODIs maybe
Usman - ruined his career
Azam - work on fitness and try again
Shaheen - go back to domestic cricket and work on his bowling
Rauf - seems to be only one who can bowl 150+kph…needs to work on using his dimmakh
