Playoffs were made into a joke with most main players not playing majority of it and then the eliminator was not even played at all. Markhors looked good only during the league stage but this tournament was highly dependent on toss results during that phase.

In my opinion, it's almost pointless to give any player/team too much credit in such conditions and foolish to think they are going to solve the national team's issues.

But if someone wants to go ahead talking about credit and deserving a spot... then:

1. After PSL, Shadab's captaincy is going to win him the next most hyped up tournament in the country here so that's a pandora box worth a debate.
2. Kamran Ghulam and Salman Agha looked the best batsmen of the country but do we really need them if we want to become a modern-day team like the Big 3?
3. Faisalabad blood Abdul Samad over Iftikhar, please?
4. Mohammad Hasnain bowled the best spells, and again, he's someone who has struggled with ER all throughout his young career and we already have one Rauf to deal with.

Usman Khan is one i've kept an eye on, the guy did well in the A series and he's done well here with limited list-A experience, for consistent performers why not but if you are still raw there is no problem still playing domestic.

Definitely Husnain because he's actually been working hard to improve and attended a fast bowling camp in England.

I'd like to see him get another chance.

It’s not the players’ fault the pitches are so lacklustre. They perform, they get knives, they don’t perform, they get knives.

You should select the best talent from the Domestic set up, so the likes of Abdul Samad, Hasnain, K Ghulam should certainly be given a chance now.
